GOD’S PLAN FOR SALVATION
The Bible is God’s redemptive revelation to man. Its primary focus is to reconcile fallen man back to Himself. There was one and only one way this could be done. Atonement had to be made for man’s sins!
God loves you!
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” (John 3:16-17)
God hates sin.
"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be know of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them." (Romans 1:18-19)
What is sin?
Sin means missing the mark, it is falling short of how God wants you to live. Sin is disobeying God! "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)
Sin separates you from God.
"But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear." (Isaiah 59:2)
Sin carries a penalty, but God gives us a choice. "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 6:23)
God will forgive your sins only if you accept His Son, Jesus Christ as your substitute for sin. His death on the cross satisfied the penalty of sin. His resurrection from the dead secures our eternal life. "That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Romans 10:9-10)
Your eternal destiny depends on what you do next. Why not make a commitment to God now?
"For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:13)
Repent. Turn away from sin to follow God’s will for your life.
Believe. Trust Jesus Christ as your Personal Savior and develop an intimate relationship with Him.
Confess. Admit that you are a sinner in need of a Savior and that you cannot save yourself.
Call. Ask Him to forgive your sins and invite Him into your heart to be the Lord of your life.
Pray this prayer if it expresses your sincere heart’s desire.
Dear God,
I know that Jesus is your Son and that He died on the cross for my sins and was raised from the dead. Forgive me of my sins and save my soul. Come into my heart and take control of my life. Teach me how to live and to love as your child. Thank you for hearing my prayer, saving my soul and giving me eternal life. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
What do I do now that I’ve accepted Christ as my Savior?
Pray daily. "Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not loose heart." (Luke 18:1)
Read the bible daily. "But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law does he meditated day and night." (Psalm 1:2)
Publicly profess your faith and be baptized. "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." (Matthew 28:19-20)
Attend a church where Christ is honored and the Bible is preached. "Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another and all the more as you see the Day approaching." (Hebrews 10:25)
