Ministries
Christian Education
The Christian Education Department oversees all teaching initiatives within the church, including Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, the Stewardship Institute, and Membership Training. Its purpose is to impart knowledge grounded in God’s Word, fostering spiritual growth and equipping individuals to live by biblical principles.

Deacon Ministry
The Deacon Ministry consists of Christian men appointed by the Pastor to serve with humility as spiritual leaders. They assist with sacred ordinances, provide guidance to the congregation, and extend Christ’s love to the community through acts of compassion and outreach.

Deaconess Ministry
The Deaconess Ministry consists of Christian women appointed by the Pastor to assist in preparing and performing sacred ordinances such as Communion and Baptism. They serve humbly, supporting the spiritual life of the church.

Evangelism Ministry
The Evangelism Ministry spreads the “Good News” of Jesus Christ through street evangelism and community outreach. Our mission is to bring hope, salvation, and transformation by sharing God’s love. Outreach efforts, including prayer walks and community service, occur every Saturday at 10:00 AM.

Health and Wellness Ministry
The Health and Wellness Ministry promotes physical, mental, and spiritual well-being within our congregation and community through education, resources, and programs.

Henry M. Clark Scholarship Ministry
This ministry provides financial assistance and educational resources to support high school graduates, undergraduate, and graduate students. Scholarships, workshops, and mentorship foster spiritual growth and academic success.

Image Bearers (Men’s Ministry)
This ministry builds brotherhood by connecting, discipling, and equipping men through the power of Jesus Christ. It empowers men to lead with integrity in their families, churches, and communities.

Lion Tamers Recovery Ministry
The Lion Tamers Ministry provides recovery support to those in need. Programs include:
- IMANI Breakthrough Recovery Project – Harm reduction program.
- Circle of Hope and Healing – Grief support ministry.
- Empowered to End Opioid Misuse – In partnership with the American Heart Association.

Media Ministry
The Media Ministry enhances worship and outreach through audio, video, and digital platforms. Volunteers manage live streaming, social media, and multimedia to share God’s message.

Music Ministry
The Music Ministry glorifies God and enriches worship through music. Open to all ages, this ministry inspires praise and connection with God.

New Members Ministry
Our New Members Ministry guides new members through the joining process and orientation, helping them connect with ministries that align with their gifts.

Project Love Ministry
The Project Love Ministry provides hot meals to those in need weekly. Meal prep occurs on Tuesdays, and distribution takes place on Wednesdays at 11:30 AM. Volunteers are welcome.

Pulpit Attendants Ministry
Pulpit Attendants assist the pastor and clergy during worship services.

Seasoned Saints Ministry
The Seasoned Saints Ministry offers community and fellowship for congregants aged 62 and older through social outings, workshops, and shared meals.

Sick and Shut-In Ministry
This ministry extends compassion and spiritual support to members unable to attend worship. Through visits, prayer, and care, we ensure all members feel connected and valued.

Ushers’ Ministry
Ushers create a welcoming and organized worship environment. They assist with seating, special needs, and emergencies during services. Training is provided.

Women of Hope (Women’s Ministry)
The Women of Hope Ministry connects and empowers women to grow spiritually through Bible studies, prayer, retreats, and outreach. All women of New Hope Baptist Church are part of this ministry.

Women’s Mission Ministry
The Women’s Mission Ministry serves the congregation and community by providing essential resources, care, and fellowship. Through outreach and service, we uplift individuals and families.

Youth Ministry
The Youth Ministry nurtures the spiritual, emotional, and social development of youth aged 5 to 17. Through a combination of engaging faith-based activities and educational programs, the ministry seeks to guide young people on their journey with Christ. Our initiatives include Bible study, youth services, and mentorship programs, providing a supportive space for personal and spiritual growth.
Youth are encouraged to participate in leadership development opportunities, community service projects, and mission trips, fostering a sense of responsibility and compassion. Annual events such as youth retreats, local service days, and youth-led worship services help cultivate character and deepen their faith.
Additionally, the ministry hosts:
- Annual Youth Day – A celebration of youth talents and leadership in worship services.
- Summer Youth Trip – Faith-building travel and fellowship experiences.
- Youth Choir – Opportunities for youth to express their faith through music and lead in worship.
- After-School Tutorial Program – Academic support and enrichment led by Karen Chambers.
- College Preparation Workshops – Equipping youth for higher education in partnership with the Scholarship Ministry.
- Summer Enrichment Camp – A blend of fun and learning coordinated by Carolyn Johnson and Kathie Clark.
- Summer Dance Camp – Encouraging creativity and confidence through dance, directed by Candice Wilson Smith.
Our goal is to empower the next generation to thrive in their faith and contribute positively to the church and the community.
