Henry M. Clark Scholarship Ministry

Henry M. Clark Scholarship Fund supports New Hope’s high school graduates, undergraduate students, and graduate students by providing financial assistance and resources to help them achieve their academic goals. Since its inception, the fund has helped countless students pursue higher education and advance their educational aspirations, fostering brighter futures for individuals, families, and the community. Inspired by Proverbs 4:7, “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore, get wisdom: and with all thy getting, get understanding,” the fund integrates faith and education to uplift and empower young scholars.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for a scholarship, applicants must:

Be an active member of New Hope Baptist Church.
Meet the criteria established by the Scholarship Fund Committee.

Membership and Participation Requirements

Applicants are expected to:

Participate in at least two educational workshops each year
Attend Sunday School and/or Bible Study
Provide volunteer service at New Hope Baptist Church

Students attending school outside of the New Orleans area are encouraged to become active visiting members of a church in the community where they attend school.

Scholarship Criteria and Applications

Applications must be submitted through the links below for the 2026–2027 school year.

Please complete the appropriate application below based on your educational status and enrollment category.

Applications are accepted year-round but are reviewed twice annually by the committee:

June review cycle for the fall semester
Early January review cycle for the spring semester

Each application includes its own eligibility criteria, required supporting documents, and submission instructions. Applicants are encouraged to review all requirements carefully before submitting.

Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.

Workshops and Events

The fund offers quarterly workshops on topics such as financial aid, college admissions, essay writing, career readiness, and pre-college preparation. Students and families are encouraged to participate in these events and access additional resources that support academic success, leadership development, and personal growth.

Serve with the Scholarship Ministry

The Henry M. Clark Scholarship Ministry welcomes individuals who are passionate about education, mentorship, and student success. Volunteers may support workshops, student engagement efforts, fundraising initiatives, scholarship reviews, and special events throughout the year.
