Sunday School Ministry
Sunday School at New Hope Baptist Church provides an interactive opportunity for adults, adolescents, and children to acquire knowledge about Christian Education through fellowship and active participation in classroom instruction. Under the leadership of Juaquana C. Lewis, Sunday School Director, our Sunday School Ministry fosters spiritual growth and engagement for individuals of all ages.
Objectives:
- Acquire Knowledge and Skills: Develop the ability to analyze and interpret Scripture in the Bible.
- Demonstrate Christian Faith: Apply an understanding of Christian principles to daily living.
- Champion Social Justice: Serve as advocates for justice and inclusion in the church, neighborhood, and global community.
- Exhibit Discipleship Behaviors: Embrace and demonstrate behaviors consistent with the teachings of Christ.
Sunday School Classes:
We offer Sunday School classes for all ages and life stages, ensuring that everyone can grow in their understanding of Scripture and their faith:
New Members Class: Welcomes new members and introduces them to foundational Christian beliefs and church doctrine.
Beginners (PreK-Kindergarten / Ages 0-5): Introduces young children to faith through engaging Bible stories and fun activities.
Primary (1st-2nd Grade / Ages 6-7): Encourages understanding of God’s love through fun, age-appropriate lessons.
Juniors (3rd-5th Grade / Ages 8-10): Builds a deeper knowledge of biblical stories and principles.
Intermediate (6th-8th Grade / Ages 11-14): Guides preteens in applying their faith during these formative years.
Senior High (9th-12th Grade / Ages 15-17): Prepares teens to live out their faith in school, work, and their communities.
Young Adults (Ages 18-25): Addresses the unique spiritual and life challenges of young adults.
Adult Men: Fosters fellowship and spiritual growth among men through Bible study and mutual encouragement.
Adult Women: Provides a nurturing environment for women to deepen their faith and grow in biblical knowledge.
Couples Class: Strengthens relationships and marriages with Scripture-based guidance and discussion.
